In honor of World Collage Day, Saturday, 11 May 2024, Kolaj Magazine is releasing a special edition of the magazine, which includes a pack of 8 postcards featuring the collage of 2024 World Collage Day Poster Artist Ali Al Shaikh.

Inspired by characters from Greek, Norse and Egyptian mythology, Al Shaikh combines terrestrial images and fragments of people with imagery of outer space as a means of exploring humanity. "Through the medium of hand-cut collage, I try to create surreal imagery that delves into the complexities of identity and the ways in which people, nations and their folklore have constructed their sense of self." The artist writes, "Since I was young, I've always been fascinated with mythology and the idea of how people make sense of the world."
